சீத்தாப்பழம்

சீத்தாப்பழம் தனிப்பட்ட மணமும், சுவையும் கொண்டது. சீத்தாப்பழத்தின் தோல், விதை, இலை, மரப்பட்டை, அனைத்துமே அரிய மருத்துவ பண்புகளை கொண்டது. ஆங்கிலத்தில் சீத்தாப்பழத்திற்கு கஸ்டட் ஆப்பிள் என்றும், இந்தியில் சர்பா என்றும் பெயராகும். இதன் தாவரவியல் பெயர்- Annona squamosa என்று பெயர்.

                          

சீத்தாப்பழத்தில்- நீர்சத்து அதிகமாக உள்ளது. மேலும் மாவுசத்து, புரதம், கொழுப்பு, தாது உப்புக்கள், நார்ச் சத்து, சுண்ணாம் புச்சத்து, பாஸ்பரஸ், இரும்பு சத்து போன்றவை அடங்கியுள்ளன. இத்தகைய சத்துக்கள் சீத்தாப்பழத்தில் அடங்கியிருப்பதனால் தான் இப்பழம் மிகுந்த மருத்துவ பயன்களை அடக்கியுள்ளது.

மருத்துவ பயன்கள்:

1. சீத்தாப்பழத்தை உண்ண செரிமானம் ஏற்படும். மலச்சிக்கல் நீங்கும்.

2. சீத்தாப்பழச்சதையோடு உப்பை கலந்து உடையாத பிளவை பருக்கள் மேல் பூசிவர பிளவை பழுத்து உடையும்.

3. இலைகளை அரைத்து புண்கள் மேல் போட்டுவரை புண்கள் ஆறும்.

4. விதைகளை பொடியாக்கி சம அளவு பொடியுடன் சிறுபயிறு மாவு கலந்து தலையில் தேய்த்து குளித்;து வர முடி மிருதுவாகும். பேன்கள் ஒழிந்து விடும்.

5. சீத்தாப்பழம் குளிர் மற்றும் காய்ச்சலை குணப்படுத்தும்.

6. சீத்தாப் பழ விதை பொடியோடு கடலை மாவு கலந்து எலுமிச்சை சாறில் குழைத்து தலையில் தேய்த்து ஊறிய பின்னர் குளித்து வர முடி உதிராது.

7. சீத்தாப்பழ விதைப்பொடியை மட்டும் தலையில் தேய்த்து குளித்து வந்தால் முடி உதிராது.

8.சிறுவர்களுக்கு சீத்தாப்பழம் கொடுத்துவர எலும்பு உறுதியாகும். பல்லும் உறுதியாகும்.

9.சிறிதளவு வெந்தயம், சிறுபயிறு, இரண்டையும் இரவு ஊறவைத்து பின்னர் காலையில் அரைத்து இதோடு சீத்தாப்பழ விதைப்பொடியை கலந்து தலையில் தேய்த்து ஊறியபின்னர் குளித்துவர தலை குளிர்ச்சி பெறும். முடியும் உதிராது. பொடுகு காணாமல் போகும்.

10. சீத்தாப்பழத்தை தொடர்ந்து உண்டு வந்தால் இதயம் பலப்படும். காசநோய் இருந்தாலும் மட்டுப்படும்.

குழந்தைகளுக்கு குட் டச், பாட் டச் (Good Touch, Bad Touch) பற்றி முக்கிய விடயங்கள். பாலியல் சார்ந்த பிரச்சனைகள் ஐந்தில் ஒரு குழந்தைக்கு நடக்கிறது.

1. குழந்தைகளிடம் அண்டர் வேர் ரூல் பற்றி தெளிவாக விளக்க வேண்டும்.. லிங்க் கொடுத்து இருக்கிறேன்.. குழந்தைகளிடமும் சொல்லி கொடுங்கள்.. அவர்களின் பள்ளிக்கும் சொல்லுங்கள்.

2. உடல் என்பது தனிப்பட்டவரின் உடமை.. அதில் அத்து மீற யாருக்கும் உரிமை இல்லை. தாய், தந்தை கூட சில வயது வரைதான்.

3. எந்த உறுப்பையும் அதன் பெயர் சொல்லி விளக்க வேண்டும்.

4. உள்ளாடை அணியும் பகுதிகள் யாராலும் தொடப்பட்ட கூடாது.அங்கு யாரவது கை வைத்தால் உடனே "No" சொல்ல கற்று கொடுக்கவேண்டும். உடனே உதவிக்கு யாரையாவது கூப்பிட வேண்டும்.

5. நம்பிக்கையான நபர்கள் என்று தாய் அல்லது தந்தை இல்லை குடும்பத்தில் நெருக்கமானவர்களை கூறி அவர்களிடம் உடனே விஷயத்தை கூற சொல்லி கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

6. நம்பிக்கையான நபர் குடும்பத்தின் வெளியிலும் ஒருவர் இருக்க வேண்டும்.சில விடயங்களை குழந்தைகள் குடும்பத்தில் சொல்ல தயக்கப்படும் அல்லது வெளியில் நடக்கும் விடயங்களை அவரிடம் சொல்லலாம். அவர் பள்ளி ஆசிரியை அல்லது நெருக்கமான நண்பர் என்று இருக்கலாம்.

7. குழந்தைகளின் மேல் பாயும் காமுகர்கள் (pedophile ) குழந்தைகளுக்கு நெருக்கமான சூழலில் இருந்தே கண்டுபிடிக்கமுடியாதபடி செயல்படுவார்கள்.பெரும்பாலும் நெருங்கிய உறவினர்கள், நண்பர்கள், அக்கம் பக்கத்தில் வசிப்பவர்கள், வேலை செய்பவர்கள்....எனவே குழந்தைக்கு விழிப்புணர்வு மிக முக்கியம்.

8. முதலில் குழந்தைக்கு பரிசுகள் வாங்கி தன் வசப்படுத்த முயற்சிப்பார்கள். எனவே குழந்தைக்கு பரிசு வாங்கி கொடுபவர்கள் எல்லாம் மிக அன்புடையவர்கள் என்று நாம் போதிக்க கூடாது. அது ஆழமாக தவறான புரிதலாக மாறும்.

9. குழந்தையை யாருக்கும் முத்தம் கொடுக்க சொல்லியோ, கட்டி பிடிக்க சொல்லியோ வற்புறுத்த கூடாது. அது சரி என்று வாதம் செய்ய கூடாது. மாமா எத்தனை ஆசையா இருக்கார்.. போய் முத்தம் கொடு என்று கூறக்கூடாது.

10. அவர்களுக்கு ரகசியத்தை எப்படி வெளிபடுத்த வேண்டும். யாரிடம் சொல்லவேண்டும் என்று தெரிந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

11. டிரைவர் போன்றவர்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கும் பொழுது மடியில் குழந்தைகளை வைத்து கொண்டு வண்டி ஓட்ட அனுமதிக்க கூடாது.

12. யார் எது கொடுத்தாலும் வீட்டில் வந்து கூறும் இனிமையான சூழல் வீட்டில் இருக்கவேண்டும். பயம் இருக்க கூடாது. நேருக்கு நேர் பேச மனதை திறந்து பேசும் சூழல் வேண்டும்.

13. தனது உடலில் அத்துமீற யாருக்கும் உரிமை இல்லை என்று தெரியவும், அப்படி யாரவது செய்தால் எதிர்ப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தி அந்த இடத்தை விட்டு விலகவும் தெரிந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.

14. அவர்கள் குழந்தைகளை மிரட்டுவார்கள்..அம்மா, அப்பாவை கொன்றுவிடுவேன்.. உன் தவறுகளை சொல்லிவிடுவேன் என்று...யார் மிரட்டினாலும் உண்மைகளை கூற இன்னொரு நம்பிக்கையான நபர் ஒருவர் குடும்பத்தை தவிர தேவை.

15. குழந்தைகள் இதை போன்ற விடயங்களை கூறினால் உடனே கோபப்படுவதோ இல்லை அழுவதோ கூடாது. அம்மாவை வருத்தப்படுவார்கள் என்று விடயங்களை மறைக்க முயற்சி செய்யலாம்.

16. ஒவ்வொரு வயது குழந்தைக்கும் அவர்கள் வயதுக்கு ஏற்றவாறு சொல்லி கொடுக்கவேண்டும்.அதே சமயம் மிக சிறிய குழந்தைகளுக்கு அடிக்கடி சொல்லி கொடுக்க வேண்டும். இல்லாவிடில் மறந்து விடுவார்கள்.

புரியலை நா விட்டுடுங்க..., நீங்கள் இப்போது படித்த வரிகள் பைந்தமிழ் முனிவர் அகத்தியர் எழுதிய அகத்திய சம்கிதம் என்ற அறிவியல் பொக்கிடத்தின் ஒரு பகுதி.

இதற்கான விளக்கத்தை இப்போது பார்க்கலாம்,

"ஒரு மண் குடுவையை எடுத்து அதனுள்ளே தாமிர தகடை செலுத்தி சிறிதளவு சிகிக்ரிவம் நிறப்ப வேண்டும். பின்னே அதை ஈரமான மரத்தூள், பாதரசம் மற்றும் துத்தநாகத்தைக் கொண்டு பூசி, இரண்டு கம்பிகளை இணைத்தால் மித்ரவருனசக்தியைப் பெறலாம்"

மித்ரவருனசக்தியா அப்படினா என்ன? சித்தர்கள் தவமிருந்து கிடைக்கிற சக்தியா?

Rao Saheb Krishnaji Vajhe (சுருக்கமாய் கிருஷ்ணாஜி) 1891 ஆம் ஆண்டு புனேவில் தமது பொறியியல் படிப்பை முடித்துவிட்டு, தமது துறை சார்ந்த விடயங்களை பண்டைய கால படைப்புகளில் தேடலைத் தொடங்கினார். அப்போது உஜ்ஜெய்னி மாகாணத்தைச் சேர்ந்த Damodar Tryambak Joshi (சுருக்கமாய் ஜோஷி) ஜோஷியிடம் ஒரு சில பண்டைய ஆவனங்களைப் பெற்றுத் தனது ஆய்வுகளைத் தொடர்ந்தார். அது சுமார் கி.மு 1550 ஆம் ஆண்டின் ஆவணம். நாம் மேலே பார்த்த அந்த வரிகளைப் படித்த உடன் அதைப் பற்றி தெரிந்து கொள்ள சமஸ்கிருத வல்லுனரான Dr.M.C.Sahastrabuddhe (சுருக்கமாய் புத்தே) அவர்களை அணுகினார். புத்தே அப்போது நாக்புர் பல்கலைக்கழக சம்ஸ்கிருதத் துறைத் தலைவர். அவர் இதைப் படித்துப் பார்த்ததும் ஆச்சரியத்துடன் அதிர்ந்து போய் இது ஏதோ ஒரு டேனியல் செல்லைப் போன்ற மின்கலத்தின் கட்டுமானத்தைப் போன்று இருக்கிறது என்றார். சரி இதை மேலும் ஆராய வேண்டும் என்ற ஆர்வம் தொற்றிக் கொள்ள புத்தே அதை நாக்பூரைச் சேர்ந்த பொறியியல் வல்லுனர் P.P. Hole (ஹோல்) அவர்களிடம் அதைக் கொடுத்து ஆராயச் சொன்னார். இதைக் கேட்டதும் நமது கிருஷ்ணாஜிக்கு உற்சாகம் பீறிட்டு வர அவரும் களத்தில் குதித்தார். 

ஒவ்வொன்றாய் படித்து படித்து அதில் கூறப்பட்டதைப் போன்றே தனது மின்கலத்தை வடிவமைக்கும் போது அவர் வந்து முட்டி மோதி நின்ற இடம் சிகிக்ரிவம் என்ற சொல். நாமும் கூட அதை படிக்கையில் என்ன அது என்று சற்று யோசித்திருப்போம். அவர்களும் இது என்னவாய் இருக்கும் எனத் திணரும் போது ஒரு சமஸ்கிருத அகராதியில் "மயிலின் கழுத்துப் பகுதி" என்று இருந்ததைப் பார்த்தார்கள். உடனே அவர்கள் இருவரும் பக்ஹ் என்ற ஒரு மயில் சரணாலயத்தில் தலைமைப் பொருப்பாளராய் இருந்தவரிடம் போய் ஏதாவது இறந்த மயில்கள் உள்ளதா அல்லது இங்கிருக்கும் மயில்கள் எப்போது சாகும் என கேட்க அவருக்கு கோபமே வந்துவிட்டது. பிறகு இவ்விருவரும் நிலைமையை விளக்கிக் கூற உடனே பக்ஹ் சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார். இருவரும் திகைப்புடன் அவரை நோக்க பக்ஹ் சொன்னார் "அது மயிலின் கழுத்து அல்ல மயிலின் கழுத்தைப் போன்ற நிறம் உள்ள பொருள்". இதைக் கேட்டதும் அவர்களுக்கு சிந்தனை முளைத்தது. ஆஹா! ஆம்! அது தான் அது!, மயிலின் கழுத்து நிறம்! அதே தான். காப்பர் சல்ஃபேட்! கண்டுபிடித்தாகிவிட்டது.

அடுத்த சில மணி நேரங்களில் மின் கலமும் தயாரானது. அந்த மின் கலத்தை ஒரு மல்டி மீட்டரை வைத்து ஆராய்ந்த போது 1.38 Open Circuit Voltage மற்றும் 23 milliampere Short Circuit Current. கிடைக்கப்பெற்றது. ஆமாம்! வெள்ளைக்காரன் Electric current என்றதை அலுப்பே இல்லாம மின்சாரம் என்று பெயர் மாற்றி பயன்படுத்தி வருகிறோமே அதற்கு நம் பாட்டன் இட்ட பெயர் மித்ரவருண சக்தி.

இந்த மித்ரவருண சக்தி என்ற பெயருக்கும் கூட விளக்கமுண்டு. வருணன் என்றால் தண்ணீர் என்பது நாம் அறிந்ததே, மிதரன் என்றால் சூரியன் என்று பொருள். ஆனால் இங்கே ஹைட்ரஜன் என்ற பொருளைக் கொள்ளும். ஏனெனில் சூரியனின் சக்தி ஹைட்ரஜனில் தான் உள்ளது. அதனால் இங்கே ஹைட்ரஜனைக் குறிக்க மித்ரா என்று குறிப்பிடுகிறார். தண்ணீரில் இருந்து ஹைட்ரஜனைப் பிறித்து எடுத்தால் மாபெரும் சக்தியை நாம் பெறலாம். எனவே அவ்வாறு பெறப்பட்ட சக்தியையே மித்ரவருண சக்தி என்கிறார் அகத்தியர். 

என்னப்பா இது அந்த காலத்துல மின்சாரமா என்று கேட்கிறீர்களா? தேடுங்கள் கூகுள் தளத்தில், பாக்தாத் பேட்டரி என்று ஆங்கிலத்தில். அது மட்டும் அல்ல ஹிஸ்டரி சேனலின் "தி ஏன்ஸியண்ட் ஏலியன்ஸ்' தொட்ரைப் பார்த்தவர்களுக்கு இது தெரிந்திருக்கக் கூடும்.

இருங்க இருங்க.., நம்ம பாட்டன் இதோட நிருத்திடல.. இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் தகவல் மட்டும் சுருக்கமாய் சொல்லி முடித்து விடுகிறோம்.. 

அவர் மேலும் கூறுவது, இது போல 100 கலன்களை செய்து தண்ணீரைப் பயன்படுத்தினால் அது பிராண வாயுவாகவும் ஹைட்ரஜனாகவும் பிரியும் என்கிறார். இந்த ஹைட்ரஜன் மிதக்கும் தன்மையுடையது எனவும் இதை ஒரு பையில் அடைத்தால் பறக்கப் பயன்படுத்தலாம் எனவும் தெரிவிக்கிறார். அது மட்டுமல்லாமல் இதே அகஸ்திய சம்ஹிதாவில் நமது நவீன கால "electroplating" என்று சொல்லக் கூடிய அதே முறையை தெள்ளத் தெளிவாக விவரித்து செயற்கையாக தங்கத்திற்கு சாயம் பூசுவது எப்படி என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

அகத்தியர் தமிழன் என்கிறீர்கள் ஆனால் அவர் ஏன் சமஸ்கிருதத்தில் எழுதினார் என்பது இங்கு பலரது கேள்வி! உங்களுக்கும் கூட இது எழலாம். அதை முழுவதுமாய் இங்கு விலக்க முடியாது ஆனால் சுருக்கமாக நீங்கள் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமானால் தமிழும் சமஸ்கிருதமும் பாரதம் முழுவதும் பரவி இருந்த மொழிகள் என்பதை நாம் உணர வேண்டும். இது குறித்த விளக்கத்தை அடுத்த பதிவில் தருகிறோம்.

உங்கள் கணினியில் தரவிறக்கம் ஆன பின்பு, அதை உங்கள் கணினியில் நீங்கள் இன்ஸ்டால் செய்ய வேண்டும். 

Next என்பதை தெரிவு செய்து, பின் அடுத்து வரும் பகுதியில் I Accept the license terms என்பதை தெரிவு செய்து மீண்டும் ஒரு Next, அடுத்து மீண்டும் ஒரு Next, இப்போது தமிழ் மொழி உங்கள் கணினியில் இன்ஸ்டால் ஆகும்.

இன்ஸ்டால் ஆன பின் மீண்டும் Next என்பதை கிளிக் செய்யுங்கள். இப்போது நீங்கள் Display மொழியை தெரிவு செய்ய வேண்டும். அதில் தமிழ் என்பதை தெரிவு செய்து "Apply display language to welcome screen and system accounts" என்பதை கிளிக் செய்து "Change Display Lanugage" என்பதை கிளிக் செய்யுங்கள். 

அவ்வளவு தான் இப்போது உங்கள் கணினியை ஒரு முறை நீங்கள் Restart செய்ய வேண்டும்.

இனி உங்கள் கணினி தமிழில் இயங்க ஆரம்பிக்கும். அனைத்து வசதிகளும், செயல்களும் தமிழில் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் பொதுவான பல விஷயங்கள் தமிழில் இருக்கும்.

இனி ஆங்கிலம் தெரியாதவர்கள் கூட கணினியில் அடிப்படை விசயங்களை செய்ய முடியும்.

மீண்டும் ஆங்கிலத்துக்கு மாற: ஸ்டார்ட் மெனு >> கட்டுப்பாட்டுப் பலகம் >> காட்சி மொழியை மாற்றவும் என்பதை கிளிக் மாற்றலாம். இவ்வாறு வராதவர்கள் கட்டுப்பாட்டுப் பலகம் >> வட்டாரம் மற்றும் மொழி என்பதை கிளிக் செய்து வரும் சிறிய விண்டோவில் "விசைப்பலகைகளும் மொழிகளும்" என்கிற பகுதியில் காட்சி மொழி ஒன்றை தேர்வு செய்யவும் என்பதற்கு கீழே English என்பதை தெரிவு செய்யுங்கள்.

ஆங்கிலத்தில் இருந்து தமிழுக்கு மாற (இன்ஸ்டால் செய்த பின்): Control Panel >> Change Display Language என்பதை கிளிக் மாற்றலாம். இவ்வாறு வராதவர்கள் Control Panel >> Region and Language என்பதை கிளிக் செய்து வரும் சிறிய விண்டோவில் Keyboards and Language என்பதில் Choose a Display Language கீழே தமிழை தெரிவு செய்து கொள்ளலாம்.

கியாரண்ட்டி’ என்றால் ‘உத்திரவாதம்’ என்பது எல்லோருக்கும் தெரிந்ததே. ‘வாரண்ட்டி’ என்பதும் கிட்டத்தட்ட அதே பொருளைக் குறிக்கும் சொல்தான். ஆனால் சட்டத்தின் பார்வையில் ‘கியாரண்டி’ என்றால் ‘பொருளை மாற்றிக் கொடுப்பது,’ வாரண்டி என்றால் ‘சர்வீஸை’க் குறிப்பது. அதாவது, ஒரு பொருள் வாங்கிய பின்னர் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்திற்குள் அது சரியாக வேலை செய்யாவிட்டால், மாற்றிக் கொடுப்பார்கள். ஆனால் தற்போது, பொருளை மாற்றிக் கொடுப்பதில்லை. ரிப்பேர்தான் செய்து கொடுக்கிறார்கள்.

பொருட்களை விற்பனை செய்யும்போது, உபயோகிக்கும் முறையை விளக்க ‘இன்ஸ்ட்ரக்ஷன் மேனுவல்’ கொடுக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அதிலிருந்து நம்மால் எதுவும் புரிந்து கொள்ள முடிவதில்லை.

மேலே சொன்ன ‘லாப்_டாப்’ விஷயம் போல் ‘மைக்ரோவேவ் அவன்’ பற்றிய ஒரு செய்தி. பெரும்பாலான ‘மைக்ரோ வேவ் அவன்’கள், 15 ஆம்பியர், கரண்டைத் தாங்கும் சுவிட்சுகளில்தான் வேலைசெய்யும். பல வீடுகளில் இந்த வசதி இருக்காது. இதனால், சிலர், ‘அவன் வேலை செய்யவில்லையென்று’ பதட்டப்படுவார்கள். வேறு சிலர், ஆர்வக் கோளாறு காரணமாக இயங்கவைக்க வேண்டுமென்று ஏதாவது செய்து, ‘மைக்ரோ_வேவ் அவனை’ ரிப்பேர் செய்துவிடுவார்கள். அப்படி ரிப்பேரானால், இந்த ‘கியாரண்ட்டி_வாரண்ட்டி’ வார்த்தைகளைப் போட்டு நம்மைக் குழப்பி, ஏமாற்றிவிடுவார்கள். ‘15 ஆம்ஸ் சுவிட்ச்’ இல்லாதவர்கள், ஒரு ‘சுவிட்ச் கன்வெர்டர்’ வாங்கி பிளக்கில் செருகினால், ‘அவன்’ வேலை செய்யும். இதை அவர்கள் எப்படி உபயோகிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதைத் தெளிவாகப் போடுவதில்லை.

நுகர்வோர் பாதிப்படையும்போது பாதிப்பு ஏற்படுத்தியது, அரசாங்கமாக இருந்தாலும்கூட நஷ்டஈடு கொடுக்க வேண்டும். ஒரு முறை, ‘டிமாண்ட் டிராஃப்ட்’ சாதாரண தபாலில் ஒருவருக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டது. பெறுநர், அனுப்புனர் முகவரிகள் மிகச் சரியாக இருந்தும். அனுப்பியவருக்கே திரும்பி வந்துவிட்டது. போஸ்டல் டிபார்ட்மெண்டில் அனுப்புவரின் முகவரியை, பெறுபவரின் முகவரியைவிட பெரிதாக எழுதி இருந்ததால் இந்தத் தவறு நடந்ததாக, நுகர்வோர் நீதிமன்றத்தில், பதில் மனு தாக்கல் செய்தார்கள். ஆனால் இந்தப் பதிலை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளாத நீதிமன்றம், பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்க்கு நஷ்ட ஈடு கொடுக்க உத்தரவிட்டது. ‘நெற்றிக்கண் திறப்பினும் குற்றம் குற்றமே!’

யார் நுகர்வோர்?

தனி ஒருவர் பொருள் வாங்கினால், நுகர்வோராகக் கருதப்பட்டு, அவருக்கான உரிமைகளை, நுகர்வோர் நீதிமன்றத்திற்குக் கொண்டு சென்று தீர்வுபெற முடியும். ஆனால் வாங்கும் பொருள் வியாபார நோக்கத்திற்காகப் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டால், நுகர்வோர் நீதி மன்றத்தில் தீர்வு பெற முடியாது.

Interviewer : Tell me about yourself.

Candidate: I ...am Rameshwar Kulkarni. I did my Tele Communication engineering from BabanRao Dhole-Patil Inst it ute of Technology.

Interviewer : BabanRao Dhole-Patil Inst it ute of Technology? I had never heard of this college before!

Candidate : Great! Even I had not heard of it before getting an admission into it ..

What happened is – due to cricket world cup I scored badly! in 12th.I was getting a paid seat in a good college. But my father said (I prefer to call him ‘baap’) – “I can not invest so much of money”.(The baap actually said – “I will never waste so much of money on you”). So I had to join this college. Frankly speaking this name – BabanRao Dhole-Patil, can at the most be related to a Shetakari Mahavidyalaya

Interviewer: ok, ok. It seems you have taken 6 years to complete your engineering.

Candidate : Actually I tried my best to finish it in 4 years. But you know, these cricket matches and football world cup, and tennis tournaments. It is difficult to concentrate. So I flunked in 2nd and 3rd year. So in all I took 4 + 2 = 7 years.

Interviewer: But 4+2 is 6.

Candidate: Oh, is it ? You know I always had KT in maths. But I will try to keep this in mind. 4+2 is 6, good, thanks. These cricket matches really affect exams a lot.. I think they should ban it .

Interviewer : Good to know that you want cricket matches to be banned.

Candidate : No, no… I am talking about Exams!!

Interviewer: Ok, What is your biggest achievement in life?

Candidate : Obviously, completing my Engineering. My mom never thought I would complete it . In fact, when I flunked in 3rd year, she was looking for a job for me in BEST (Bus

corporation in Maharashtra ) through some relative.

Interviewer : Do you have any plans of higher study?

Candidate: he he he.. Are you kidding? Completing ‘lower’ education it self was so much of pain!!

Interviewer : Let’s talk about technical stuff. On which platforms have you worked?

Candidate : Well, I work at SEEPZ, so you can say Andheri is my current platforms. Earlier I was at Vashi center. So Vashi was my platform then. As you can see I have experience of different platforms! (Vashi and Andheri are the places in Mumbai)

Interviewer : And which languages have you used?

Candidate : Marathi, Hindi, English. By the way, I can keep quiet in German, French, Russian and many other languages.

Interviewer: Why VC is better than VB?

Candidate : It is a common sense – C comes after B. So VC is a higher version than VB. I heard very soon they are coming up w it h a new language VD!

Interviewer: Do you know anything about Assembly Language?

Candidate: Well, I have not heard of it . But I guess, this is the language our ministers and MPs use in assembly.

Interviewer : What is your general project experience?

Candidate : My general experience about projects is – most of the times they are in pipeline!

Interviewer: Can you tell me about your current job?

Candidate: Sure, Currently I am working for Bata Info Tech ltd. Since joining BIL, I am on Bench. Before joining BIL, I used to think that Bench was another software like Windows.

Interviewer : Do you have any project management experience?

Candidate: No, but I guess it shouldn’t be difficult. I know Word and Excel. I can talk a lot. I know how to dial for International phone call and use speaker facility. And very important – I know few words like – ‘Showstoppers ‘ , ‘hot fixes’, ‘SEI-CMM’, ‘quality’, ‘version control’, ‘deadlines’ , ‘Customer Satisfaction’ etc. Also I can blame others for my mistakes!

Interviewer: What are your expectations from our company?

Candidate : Not much.

1. I should at least get 40,000 in hand..

2. I would like to work on a live EJB project. But it should not have deadlines. I personally feel that pressure affects natural talent.

3. I believe in flexi-timings.

4. Dress Code is against basic freedom, so I would like to wear t-shirt and jeans.

5. We must have sat-sun off. I will suggest Wednesday off also, so as to avoid breakdown due to overwork.

6. I would like to go abroad 3 times a year on short term preferably 1-2 months) assignments. Personally I prefer US, Australia and Europe. But considering the fact that there are Olympics coming up in China in the current year, I don’t mind going there in that period. As you can see I am modest and don’t have many expectations. So can I assume my selection?
